January 5, 2008.....
Today I added a programmers version of our software.
This is a version that is not compiled, it is the .mdb MS Access file so that you can change it
and modify it all you want.
This is for your own use and not for resale.
The cost is $150.00, which in the programmers world is a bargain, considering I have over 400 hours
in the writing of this software.
You can purchase it and download it online by clicking on the 'Purchase Now' button on the left
side.
It consists of 4 zipped files that are about 30mb each in size.

June 16, 2007....
I did some more modifications to the program today. I made the preliminary reports input screen and the main inspection screen fit on one screen vertically and horizontally if your resolution is at least 1024x768. That way you won't have to keep scrolling around.
I also remade the fields in the Preliminary Reports screen to check boxes.
I also fixed the problem with the preliminary report not printing correctly.
It would not always print all of the pages because not all important fields were input into the screen. So, now it checks for those fields before it will let you print the Preliminary Report.
If you have already purchased this program in the past, and if you would like to download the latest version, send me an email and ask... kevinrea@antelecom.net

VERSION 3 NOW OUT..
March 20, 2007......
NOTE: This software is designed to work on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
I do not know if it will work on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Microsoft no longer supports Windows 2000 or XP, so I do not support them either.
I just did a few more modifications to the program.
You can now copy the information from the preliminary report screen to your Microsoft Outlook Calendar and It will schedule the appointment in your calendar.
Also, it can copy the customer and realtor information into your Microsoft Outlook Contact Information.
Also in the last few months, various fixes, patches, in things implemented....So many that I really cannot recall of them now.
You can see some of the new features on a couple of screen shots. Just click on the 'Program Screens' Button on the menu at the left.

An easy to use Home Inspection Software Package designed by a home inspector, who is currently a member of NACHI.
Our software is written in MS Access.
I do this software just as a service to fellow home inspectors... because I think it is really ridiculous to have to spend so much money for inspection software. Maybe for just a few dollars, mine will work for you.......Kevin Rea EasyInspectionSoftware Author.
This Software is a work in progress... , that is., I am always trying to find ways to make it better.
You do not need MS Access to use our software. Our software comes with MS Access Runtime files.
If you have MS Access on your pc, let us know which version you are running and we can make a distribution file of our program for you that does not have the Access Runtime.
If you do have MS Access on your pc, you need version 2000, 2002 (xp) or 2003.
If you have MS Access on your pc, please contact us and let us know, so we can direct you to the version of our software that does not contain the access runtime files.

Inspections:
NOTE: I never print a report directly to a printer. It wastes too much paper for me.
I print it to a pdf file. I use a program that allows me to print multiple pages to one pdf file, and that is how I do all of my reports, preliminary and final.
The package I use and suggest costs $50.00 and it is worth every cent in my opinion.
It is called PDFFactory. You can get it at: http://www.pdffactory.com/
It is PDF Factory Version 3, not the Pro or Fine Print Version, just plain PDF Factory.

The way I personally do my home inspections and use this software is this:
I initially take a preliminary-report printout with me to the field, to the inspection site.
I print the preliminary report on a 2 part paper. This allows me to give a copy of the preliminary report to the client before I leave the inspection site.
After doing the inspection and checking off boxes on the field report as I go through the inspection, I then go back to my office and enter the data into my program.

I then print out the Final Home Inspection Report and deliver it to the client.
They can also download it from my website. I can also email the client a copy.
I usually have a report ready for the client within 24 hours after completing the inspection.
This has worked for me and my clients quite well.
You could of course put this program on a laptop computer and print it out at the
Inspection site if you wished.
